Rental Agreement and Insurance Policies
At Velo Albania, we prioritize transparency and clarity in our rental agreements and insurance policies to ensure our customers have a seamless experience. Below is a comprehensive overview of our rental terms and insurance coverage.
Insurance Coverage:
We offer optional full insurance coverage for an additional fee of €7- €20 per rental per day depending on car type. This coverage provides protection for damages to the vehicle, and third-party liability under normal driving conditions on paved roads.
What’s Covered:
- Damages to the vehicle
- Third-party liability
What’s Not Covered:
- Tires
- Windows
- Side mirrors
- Interior damages
Exclusions: The insurance coverage does not apply to damages incurred while driving off-road or in restricted areas due to emergency road conditions. It also excludes damages resulting from misuse of the vehicle or filling the tank with the wrong type of diesel.
Handling Issues: In the event of any issues with the vehicle, including damages or mechanical problems, customers can contact our dedicated support line at Velo Albania. Our team will promptly assist you in resolving the issue and ensuring your continued satisfaction with our services.
Security Deposit: A security bond of €100 is held when the vehicle is rented and returned. This serves as the excess for damages covered under the full insurance package. This deposit is for eventual damages, fines, missing fuel etc. Paid directly on delivery. Fully refundable at the end of the reservation.
Alternative Option: Customers who choose not to opt for full insurance coverage are responsible for the full cost of any damages incurred. Repair costs will be based on receipts from the repair service, up to €4000.
